In the multi-verse there exists those that would tamper with the realities of your world. They have the technology to change everything and anything. They even get to decide if you were ever born. They are a nasty sort with out a speck of compassion.

Your world has a commodity that is rarely found in the universe. The harvesters are here and they don't have your interests in mind. There is opposition and if you can get off the planet you might be safe until you realize that there is no way out. Multiple generations have been born and died , a few have had what they were looking for. There is an aspect in this world that makes it valuable to those that know how to reap the rewards. It is a society that has imported a religion to control the masses because if you can control them then the harvest goes up. If you are lucky you will get your own planet. Few care about the consequences , Micheal does and he has a plan.
